The Christmas tree will soon be taken down.

All correspondence from the previous meeting has been dealt with and replies sent where needed.

Additional correspondence – Parishioner complaint regarding dogs running loose in the cemetery. Clerk to purchase ‘No Dogs’ signs.

Garden waste collection dates have been confirmed for the year – see noticeboards and website.

LCC Taxi drivers must now be able to speak and write in English.

11. Cemetery Matters  29.26

Resolve on quote to repaint cemetery and church gates

The Council Resolved to accept the quote to repair and repaint the church and both sets of cemetery gates.  

 

Memorial query

The Council discussed a query regarding a memorial stone colour.

 

Memorial repair

The memorial highlighted as slightly unstable in the topple test has been repaired.

 

12. Highways & Footways 30.26

Update on outstanding matters

Parking at Primary school – LCC consultation for parking restrictions is ongoing.  

Puddingpoke – partial one-way restriction – Clerk to chase for update.

 

To report any new matters.

Church Lane / Dear Love Gate – several gas cannisters have been left on the verge. To be reported on Fix My Street. Clerk to email PCSO to notify them of issue.    

 

13. Allotments 31.26

Update on Garden allotment vacancy.

The Garden allotment has been allocated to a parishioner, tenancy agreement signed. The Council Resolved to charge half rate until the full area is available, as the plot has been farmed by neighbouring tenant, as agreed with previous tenant. Area will be harvested in June.

 

14. Play/Open Areas 32.26

Update on Park developments – equipment removal, bird & bat boxes

The Council Resolved to accept a quote to finish the ground work repairs where the old equipment was removed. Once completed, the Council can gather quotes for new swings etc with the remaining budget.    

 

15. Resolve on quote for replacement Noticeboard 33.26

The Council considered several quotes and Resolved to accept the quote from Nature Sign Design, with funding support from District Cllrs Wilkinson and Tyrrell.
