D. Resolve to Accept Bank Reconciliation (3rd Quarter)

Cllr K Jordaan Checked Procedures for Payments and Receipts, And Reconciled Accounts With Bank Statements. As All Processes and Information Reconciled With The Bank Reconciliation The Council Resolved To Accept It.

Discuss Budget Report (3rd Quarter)

This Was Briefly Discussed. At The End Of The Second Quarter The Council Sits At 78% On The Budget At The End Of Third Quarter.

 

5. Chairman’s Remarks 05.23

The Chairman Reported The Christmas Santa Visit Was An Excellent Success. The Church Being Open, And Refreshments Provided Was Very Positively Received and Added To The Lovely Evening. The Chairman Thanked All Those Involved For Their Help.

The Cemetery Hedging Will Be Planted Once the Weather Improves, And Ground Softens. Parishioners Have Offered to Help With The Planting.

Similarly, The New Bench For The Cemetery And The Refurbished Bench For The Village Green Will Be Installed Once The Ground Softens.

The Cemetery Gates Need To Be Sandblasted And Repaired Before They Can Be Repainted. The Chairman Will Remove The Gates For The Repair Works In Spring. The Tarmac at The Front Gate Needs Lifting, To Prevent Standing Water At The Gates. The Chairman And Cllr Tyrell Will Visit To Discuss The Works.

All Correspondence From The Previous Meeting Has Been Dealt With And Replies Sent Where Needed.

The Vat Reclaim For 3rd Quarter Has Been Submitted (£1,203.61).

Shdc Have Been Awarding Funding, Some of Which Will Be Available For Appropriate Groups To Apply For To Support Community Projects.

A. Update on Memorial Repairs

The Memorials Are Scheduled To Be Repaired By The End Of January. The Council Resolved To Accept A Quote For An Additional Memorial Repair. 

 

B. Updated on Bench for Cemetery

The Bench Has Been Delivered. The Chairman Will Install Once the Ground Softens.

 

 12. Highways & Footways 12.23

Update On Outstanding Matters

Gravel On Colleys Gate – Gravel Has Still Not Been Removed. Cllr J Wilkinson Continues to Report On Fix My Street.

 

To Report Any New Matters.

The Chairman Requested A Meeting With The Highways Officer For The Area, To Review The Parish.

The Clerk Will Contact Highways to Arrange.

14. Play/Open Areas 14.23

Update On Playdale Park Equipment 

The Council Equipment Has Been Ordered. Playdale Will Notify the Council When It Is Ready for Installation. 

 

Update On Tree Donations for Park

The Chairman Will Confirm Current Prices For Trees. Donations To Be Discussed With Parishioners At The Next Community Event, Possibly The Kings Coronation Celebrations.

Update On Noticeboard for Village Green

The Council Resolved to Accept A Quote For Installation Of The Noticeboard. Date For Installation to Be Confirmed.  The Council Resolved to Purchase a Replacement Noticeboard For Outside Of The School.

A. King’s Coronation

The Council Discussed Potential Events for The Coronation And Resolved On A Budget Of £500.00. Cllr Woodhouse To Discuss with Owners Of Jolly Crispin, To Consider Event Options.

 

17. Village Hall 17.23

The Village Hall Is in Need of Both Internal And External Repairs. A Business Plan Listing Repairs Would Be Useful and Aid Funding Applications.
